When you’re single you find yourself very content with yourself. You’ll get all the alone time you need, save money you know all the perks of being single. However when Valentines day comes around suddenly being single is the worst thing on the world and suddenly everyone is like “awww no, you not seeing anyone?” or “oh no what you gonna do valentines day then?” So whats the whole point of ‘Valentines day’ well – “Each year on February 14th, many people exchange cards, candy, gifts or flowers with their special “valentine.” The day of romance we call Valentine’s Day is named for a Christian martyr and dates back to the 5th century, but has origins in the Roman holiday Lupercalia.”
So let’s face it, it’s just another day we’ve all brought into, that probably costs us more money than sense. I guess it is all fun and games when your in a relationship. But of course around the day a lot of people will really loose a lot of self confidence and well just feel real shitty. So what can you do to fight them shitty feelings? here are a few of my ideas that you could try!
PAMPER NIGHT
With it being a Wednesday this year, I’m guessing most of you will be at work in the day. So why not when you get home cook, or order your favourite food, get a cheeky bubble bath on the go, face mask at the ready. At the end of the day Valentines day is so your loved one can treat you, so be your own loved one and treat yourself. Some times some self love time is the best cure. Well what better excuse than Valentines day hey?
GO OUT WITH FRIENDS
Now the biggest issue of valentines day for singles is fully being alone. Like who wants to be alone when your feeling low about your single title? well text all your girl pals or boy pals and organise a drink or meal. It keeps you busy, and reminds you that you don’t need to be in a relationship to be loved by people. This is something I’ll be doing this year. Me and one of my friends are going for drinks, hey I won’t be getting any cock that night but I’ll get some cocktails.
GO ON A DATE
You wouldn’t think about it but why not go on a date and potentially meet the man of your dreams on the day of all things lovey dovey? So hurry and get yourself on tinder and get a guy to take you for a drink! Also why not message all your dating app matches “happy valentines day” see what happens!
DO SOMETHING YOUR EX HATED.
Now if your recently single and still have a a bit of hate in you for your ex, don’t be sad that you’re now having to spend the day alone, why not do something they hated. Maybe it was wearing some high heels, or listening to music they hated. Feel empowered that you no longer have to deal with their shit anymore.
GO TO THE GYM.
It’s not all bad, being down can sometimes head towards your body confidence, so make your way to the gym to let off your steam and work on that body you want. These days a lot of people use the gym as a way to release anxiety and stress.
BUY YOURSELF A NEW SEX TOY.
Now come on your single, we all have needs. I’m pretty sure most women own some sort of sex toy. It’s nothing to be ashamed about. And if you’re single and you don’t own one, girl get yourself shopping asap. Of course if this doesn’t tickle your pickle, just treat yourself to some new make up, or clothing. TREAT YO SELF.
If you’re single what do you have planned?
