As I said in my previous post, I always go back to my old style but freshen it up a little bit and try to keep it up to date within the trends. But it seems its actually a very popular question from blogging events, to daily outfit questions and even job interviews where do I get my style inspiration from? These days magazines aren’t the first source of inspiration as they just seem to be filled with ADs and not real fashion anymore. I think it’s mad how many magazines I use to read as a teenage that are no longer around as they are just not as on demand anymore.
So by real fashion I mean blogs, I mean my instagram feed where I see real women showcasing their daily OOTD’s and feeling themselves. They’re the women I get my inspiration from. I think even if I wasn’t a blogger; I’d still feel this way also because these days no one has time to read a book never mind a magazine. We are all so wrapped up in our phones and that no matter what the situation whether fashion based or food based or health based we lean to our phone for the answer.
My main source of style inspiration comes from Pinterest. Whenever I buy a new key piece and I struggle to style it up, I’ll simply type the item into Pinterest along with the term “outfit” so for example – “red boots outfit” then instantly my feed is full of all the inspiration I could need to style up that item! I think thats a great way to look at how others have worked the trends, and take on some good looks into your ow wardrobe. All of the above pictures can be found in my board “STYLE”
Then of course my favourite app of all time, that I probably spend my whole day on is Instagram! I’m obsessed with instagram, I’ve always been obsessed with seeing pretty pictures all kept in one place. I love seeing how some people create such a beautiful stunning feed to make it their own. I’ve always struggled with the balance of a theme but I’ve realised recently it’s not about having the same filter it’s about it being yours. So here are a few of my fav girls that grace my instagram feed and constantly inspire my daily outfits. I think it’s key to always check your comments and the hashtags you use to find new and stylish women. I usually find a lot of mine from other brands and fellow bloggers that share and hype up fellow style queens.
